An English-only room sounds strict. For a genuine beginner it produces silence. Silence is the one thing a speaking class cannot afford. Support in your language is how you get to English, not a way to avoid it.
What “medium” actually decided — and what it did not
School medium decided how much English you heard between 6 and 16. It did not decide whether you can run a standup at 28. Kavya (Hyderabad, advocate) and Ananya (Bengaluru, data analyst) both had to build speaking in a live room. Their stories are on real results.
- You can read more than you speak — that is the usual Hindi/Bengali-medium pattern. Spoken class closes that gap.
- You do not need to “think in English” on day one. You need to finish a sentence out loud.
- Grammar explained in Hindi or Bengali, then practised in English, is faster than grammar explained in English you cannot follow.
How the first month works
